Dfundraiser is here to help the hopeful. DFundRaiser makes it possible for you to create a fund raising campaign for free . When you create a fundraising campaign on dfundraiser, you are reaching out to those who could help you solve your financial difficulties. The under listed problems can prevent you from getting the help you deserve.
The problem with today’s World is that; “people don’t trust people” hence, a lot of persons who genuinely need financial assistance are neglected. Another problem is a problem of; “you are responsible for your own baggage it’s not my cross to bear”, “he is able and fit why don’t he get a job?”, “I barely have enough to take care of my own self let alone to help someone else.” Lastly, he brought it upon himself by not planning well and misusing opportunities.
Another reason why most people feel people should not be helped is that a lot of persons are not honest, why this can be a genuine reason not to help another person, it is important to note that a lot of people genuinely need help and don`t get helped because of “what ifs?” and “I think he is a scam”.
It is important for me to state that, it is inappropriate to judge people that we know little or nothing about. How would you feel if you are the one being judged for something you are not? It’s a terrible feeling for me and I know it should be upsetting for you too, that is why it is important we ask people questions to get more information, it is on the basis of accurate information that we judge.
Another reason why most people don’t give is because they don’t know those who need financial help. To those who have this kind of reason and yet you don’t give. Remember the parable of the Good Samaritan is a parable told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. It is about a traveler who is stripped of clothing, beaten, and left half dead alongside the road. First a priest and then a Levite comes by, but both avoid the man. Finally, a Samaritan happens upon the traveller. Samaritans and Jews despised each other, but the Samaritan helps the injured man. Jesus is described as telling the parable in response to the question from a lawyer, “And who is my neighbour?”. In response, Jesus tells the parable, the conclusion of which is that the neighbour figure in the parable is the man who shows mercy to the injured man—that is, the Samaritan.
Ponder the following questions;
- Why did the Levite and the Priest not help this man?
- Am I sometimes like the Levite and the Priest?
- What can I do more to be like the Samaritan?
- Have there been times when I have acted like the Levite or Priest?
- How can I better understand people and their situations?
The time has come for us to lend a hand of assistance to those who desperately stand in need of our help. They stand in need and have taken the courage to ask, shouldn`t they receive? We should not let the beggar put up his petition to us in vain. We should be affectionate one to another. And be genuinely interested in the welfare of others. It is not needful that we run more than our legs can carry us but everything should be done the right way. The more you have the more you give.
To those who are involve in the begging scam, I say to you, stop now! As it is affecting those who genuinely are in need.
